If you’re considering abortion and you live in Texas there are several things you can do before an abortion right here in our state. Talk to our medical professionals that clearly understand the abortion laws in Texas and what they mean for you. We can answer any questions you have and help you learn more about your options.
Our centers offer obstetric ultrasounds free of charge and we never ask for your insurance. The abortion method available to you differs depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy. Because abortion is restricted in our state, we do not provide abortion services or the abortion pill. However, we can confirm pregnancy and explain the different methods of abortion based on how far along you are. Many telehealth abortion providers require an ultrasound before administering abortion pills, and we offer this service at no cost.
Before taking the abortion pill, you will need to know exactly how far along you are.(1) The abortion pill is only FDA approved for up to 70 days (10 weeks pregnant) after the start of your last menstrual period.(2) We can help learn more about your pregnancy and if the abortion pill is an option for you. It’s important to note that some women should not take the abortion pill; learn more.
If you can’t have a medical abortion, a surgical procedure called a dilation and curettage (D&C) may be an option. An ultrasound will help determine the type of abortion procedure(s) available to you, allowing you to have the information needed when calling abortion providers.
All of our services are free and confidential, regardless of financial circumstances.
